UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Help Build Hope took place August 11 and 12.The project included tons of volunteers who helped to build the frame of a house.
The house would later be moved to a Habitat for Humanity site in the local area.
"One of the things we say around here is that we want to be a church that if we ever left, our community that we are in would notice that. So we want to make sure we're always focused on the commmunity that surrounds us," said Robert Nedds, a church member and project coordinator.
Although it rained over the weekend, the volunteers showed up and got the job done.
