Andrew knew going into college that he wanted to pursue a career in some sort of film or videography profession, so broadcast journalism made sense. He became interested in high school getting his first taste, making short films and anchoring for the morning announcements. Andrew is currently a senior at Michigan State University, pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism with a documentary studies specialization. He has gained experience reporting and producing for HOMTV, MSU&U and WDIV Local 4's ClickOnDetroit. These experiences have provided him with the practice and understanding of the preparation that goes into creating a well-rounded news piece. At Michigan State University, he realized the importance of becoming involved on campus and thus joined the Telecasters student organization. Andrew auditioned in the fall of 2011 and was selected to host the “Man on the Street” segment for the news broadcast, MSU&U. In turn, he took the lessons he had learned working with MSU&U to obtain an internship at HOMTV, Meridian Township’s Government Access channel, during the spring of 2012. He gained a lot of great experience and confidence, translating into three jobs. A summer internship at WDIV Local 4 Detroit's ClickOnDetroit, a month long production contract with the MSU organization Residence Education and Services to promote Restorative Justice, and a job throughout the school year as the producer for MSU's Alumni Association/University Advancement. So, currently Andrew is finishing up his final year of college while continuing to work for HOMTV as a production intern along with his production job for MSU's Alumni Association/University Advancement. After graduation Andrew isn't sure what he wants to do, but he is ready to work hard and have fun.
