MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Friday June 1st, Meridian Township's Facilities Superintendent Dennis Antone was excited to show the Township's new lawn mower. This lawn mower isn't like a your traditional mower, it is different in many ways.

The Mean Green Mower was created in 2008 consisting of three batteries that gives power to the mower. It is completely electric helping those to save money, gas and energy.

"It is a relatively simple mower to operate. It operates like a regular gas powered mower." said Antone.

As of today, the mower is used more in commercial areas, but is hoped to be used in residential areas.
