Amber Howard

Amber is a recent Michigan State University Alum from Detroit Michigan. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She will also be pursuing her Masters of Arts degree in Journalism Public Affairs in the Fall of 2017. After graduate school she plans to pursue a career in on-air entertainment news reporting. Throughout her Journalism studies, Amber received Honorable Mention for her news feature by Michigan Association of Broadcasters this semester. Amber has been quite adept to travel as she has studied abroad in three continents for a total of five countries. Using her experiences to teach others about diversity on the campus of MSU, Amber shapes her love for intercultural living and learning within the community. In the midst of travel, she has volunteered as a teacher assistant in San Ignacio, Belize at an underdeveloped Christian school where she designed projects incorporating development and sustainability in partnership with the local community. She most recently visited six of the seven Emirates in the UAE, expanding her understanding on the Arabic culture, a language she hopes to learn during her graduate studies. She plans to use her experiences to enhance her career goal as a well-rounded reporter.
