OKEMOS - Sometimes landing a great job in the television industry can seem impossible. You need experience to get the job, but you need a job to get experience. How can you win? The answer is an internship at HOMTV.
HOMTV offers a hands on non-paid internship program that provides real world Multi Media experience in the area of reporting, production, and promotions. HOMTV Interns gain hand on skills in studio & creative production, multimedia journalism and social media & promotion. Previous experience is helpful, but not required.
HOMTV is looking for self-motivated team players, who are genuinely passionate about a multimedia career in television production, journalism, public relations, communications or social media.
Interns must work a minimum of 20 hours per week including two 4-hour day shifts and evenings (Monday through Thursday after 5:00 pm) for training workshops and to crew live televised productions.
This program requires interns to be able to climb a ladder and lift up to 30 pounds. Interns will also be responsible for transporting equipment to and from locations. Reliable transportation is required to fulfill weekly assignments.
HOMTV accepts applications year-round. The application deadline for the Summer 2020 semester has been extended to Friday, March 13th.
