Andrea Smiley is the Marketing and Public Relations Specialist for Meridian Township located in Okemos, MI. She has a MBA in Marketing and over 20 years' experience in managing multiple projects, marketing and large-scale event coordination, as well as certifications in social media and digital marketing. In her role as Marketing and Public Relations Specialist, she distributes Township information by utilizing various marketing techniques, communications skills and analytics, while maintaining the Township's brand integrity and consistency through promotional campaigns. She also coordinates all aspects of campaign marketing, branding, social media management and engagement, while maintaining a strong commitment to public relations and customer service. Andrea also freelances her marketing skills with various non-profits, which have included the East Lansing Public Library. She has been a presenter on the fundamentals of marketing, social media and podcasting for the Michigan Library Association and Indiana Library Federation. Andrea is also a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) with the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.
