Ruta Ulcinaite is a junior at Michigan State University studying Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Ruta's passion for politics, storytelling and journalism stems from a very young age. She has written for the State News and has also worked at WDIV in Detroit. She loves that in her profession she's able to give a voice to those who don't have a means of getting their stories out. One day she hopes to become a reporter for a major news organization. Born in Lithuania, Ruta loves to travel and explore the world. She also loves to dance, cook and sing.
