Planning Commission Reviews Future Land Use Map

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Planning Commission discussed sections 5 and 6 of the 2017 Future Land Use Map at their meeting on October 8th.

Principal Planner Peter Menser, brought up the land use discussion of Carriage Hill, which used to consider as the future commercial area and now it may become different residential category.

Some updates based on the last meeting include Eastwood Village had been changed from multiple family to single family land use propose, and Land Preservation had become R2.

“This is a visionary document, it is meant to establish something different is going to be happen in the future. I am not here to talk anyone into changing, so do not limit yourself in that way but really consider the future of this areas,” said Menser.

The Commission will continued revisit the future land use map at their next meeting.
