MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - A mural depicting the timeline of Meridian Township was unveiled at the Cottage Inn off of Grand River Avenue in Okemos.

The mural features important dates in Meridian history which ranges from the founding of the township all the way through the 200th anniversary.

The Friends of Meridian Township and Meridian Township's Communications Department all worked together with Cottage Inn to design the look of the mural.

The mural was requested to add a local flavor to the decor of the lobby.

Cottage Inn donated $100 as well to the Friends of Historical Meridian.

The display will also be copied and presented in an area that is still to be determined in Meridian Township.
