Walnut Hills Puts the Clubs Away

Walnut Hills Puts the Clubs Away

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The 97-year-old golf course, Walnut Hills Country Club, is now closed for good.

The course, opened in 1921, was recently bought by Summer Park Reality.

They have discussed with the Township Board of turning the 190-acre property into single family houses.

That is still an ongoing debate, but there is currently a lawsuit filed due to the Boards denial of rezoning the property.

The rest of assets from the course, event space, restaurant and pool were auctioned on orbitbid.com yesterday.
