Wolverine Pipe Line Work

Wolverine Pipe Line Work

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The removal of any brush, trees, or other obstructions could begin very soon, as stated in Wolverine Pipe Line Company's letter to Meridian Township. For those who don't know, the Wolverine Pipe Line running all the way through Michigan is used to transport liquid petroleum products to various terminals and other pipelines for use as sources of energy.

David Walsworth, a Meridian Township resident living near the pipe line, says he didn't know about it until his family moved in and saw a warning sign across the street.

"That wasn’t actually disclosed, ‘cause it’s not on our property. But, you’ve ‘gotta have access to the pipeline and be able to get equipment in to maintain it," he said.

The contractor Wolverine plans to hire is Brieser Construction. Wolverine says they'll contact anyone who's property is involved and if any damages are sustained, they'll hire a landscaper for early Spring repairs.

ORIGINAL STORY: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township will soon be visited by the Wolverine Pipe Line Company's contractor, who will clear out the pipe line's easement. More on Meridian Magazine.
