Quenda Story Receives Certificate of Achievement for 15 Years of Service

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Most communities has a library, but every community library does not have a Quenda Story. Meridian Township honored the 15 years of dedication, Story has served the public at the latest August 15th Township Board meeting.

Story was recognized for her role on Capital Area District Library (CADL) Board, receiving a certificate of achievement and leaving some big shoes to follow. As Township Supervisor Ronald J. Styka expressed during the recognition.

"Quenda Story is a very special person in this Tonwship," Supervisor Styka said. "She has served for a long time on the Capital Area District Library board and we are here to honor her tonight as she goes off that board with a certificate of achievement."

Supervisor Styka said the Haslett and Okemo Libraries play an important role in making Meridian a prime community.

Children, adults, seniors, anyone who cants to come in to the library is welcomed. Story said the library interfaces with more people than any other institution in government.

"The library, all libraries– modern libraries, they do it all, " Story said.
