Armed Robbery Update

UPDATE: EAST LANSING - On May 2, 2017, 23-year-old, Shakeem Louis Jones was taken into custody in relation to the robbery at the Little Caesars on E. Lake Lansing Road. After several days of investigation, Jones was charged with two counts of Armed Robbery and one count of a felony with a Firearm. He is being detained at the Ingham County Jail with a $500,000 bond.

ORIGINAL STORY: EAST LANSING - According to a press release sent out by the Meridian Township Police Department, an armed robbery took place last night, May 1, 2017 at the Little Caesars located at 3340 E. Lake Lansing Road.

Two employees were held at gun point before the suspect fled the restaurant in an unknown direction. Right now there is no information on how much money was taken from the cash register and the investigation is ongoing.

Currently, there has been no comment from the police but the suspect was described as a thin built, 6'0, dark skinned black male wearing a mask and gloves.

Manager, Carl Bridenbarker, says Little Caesars plans to carry on business as usual.
