Meridian Township is Seeking Election
Inspectors

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township is looking for some extra help this coming election season.

The Township is hiring election inspectors for the upcoming Primary Election on Aug. 2nd.

An election inspector not only assists voters in casting their ballot, but also helps with the set up and tear down of the polling locations.

In order to apply, you must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan or a high school student over the age of 16.

"Its important to always get new blood in," said Township Clerk Brett Dreyfus. "To get some new people to come in so that they can be able to understand the electoral process, participate in our community, understand what really what running an election is all about."

The Township will be accepting applications until July 20, and training will begin July 21.

Applications are on the township website and can be submitted by mail or in person.
