EAST LANSING - With a, 4-2, lead in the second period for Okemos, the night seemed business as usual for the Chiefs in a postseason matchup against Jackson Lumen Christi, but in one split-second their heart and soul was ripped right out.

If Okemos gave out a team MVP, the obvious choice would be senior captain Anders Staky. A, 4-0, run by Lumen Christi in Staky's absence, only confirmed this. The Titans came back from three goals down to eliminate the Chiefs, 6-5, at Suburban.

"I think the players felt that we still had an opportunity," Jackson Lumen Christi head coach Mike Wartella said after the comeback victory. "We just picked it up a notch. We just kept throwing it at the net, crashing the net. The boys just showed a lot of character because we could have packed it in, but we didn't."

Bear Kennedy scored the game-winning goal for Lumen Christi off a deflection from a slap shot to the top right shelf of the net.
