HASLETT - In 2013, the Haslett community approved millage for the renovation of the Haslett Performing Arts Center, and since then over $3 million has been spent upgrading and refreshing the facility.
However, the millage does not cover technical upgrades such as audio and lighting. In response to this the Center is seeking public donations in order to cover the cost of continued upgrades.
For donations of $500 the Center is offering a plaque with the donor's name embedded the arm of one of the auditorium's seats. Donations are tax deductible.
While most of the renovations are complete, they are expected to be finished in late 2017.
