Okemos Can't Handle MSU Commit Taryn
McCutcheon, Trojans On Tear, 72-48

EAST LANSING - The Okemos Lady Chiefs are, no doubt, headed in the right direction with four wins already this season, doubling last year's total, but Friday night the team ran into a buzz saw, otherwise known as Taryn McCutcheon. The MSU commit posted 21 points en route to a, 72-48, victory for East Lansing.

McCutcheon's effortless ball-handling created open shots for her and her teammates all night long, landing her this week's All Access Sports Player of the Week.

Fellow star senior Danni Hanson followed right behind McCutcheon with 15 points of her own. Hanson is averaging 15-plus points and 5-plus rebounds per game this season. Along with McCutcheon, she spreads the floor out as a lethal shooter from deep but will also be physical in the paint.

This win marks the fifth straight for the Lady Trojans, as they now sit alone atop the CAAC Blue Conference. They host 9-2 St. John's Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
