LANSING - The return of quarterback Connor Cook gave Spartan fans a preview of what may come. Michigan State put together its first decisive, hit on all cylinders performance of the season, with a ticket to Indianapolis on the line, nuking the Nittany Lions, 55-16.

Cook commanded an offense that put up its best numbers on the year, as a finally healthy offensive line kept him untouched all game, against the nation's sack-leading Nittany Lions.

The upright Cook completed 19 of 26 passes for 248 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

The defense scored two touchdowns itself and caused a total of four turnovers on the night.

Surging at the right time, the Spartans travel to Indianapolis for their Big Ten Championship matchup next Saturday against Iowa. Kickoff is expected at 8:17 p.m.
