New Gym Ready to Get Community in Shape

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Everyone needs to relieve stress once in a while and there's no better way than hitting the gym. Luckily for residents in Meridian Township, a new gym has opened its doors and they were recently welcomed into the neighborhood.

Pure Gym is a fitness center that specializes in circuit training, strength and conditioning and an all around proactive space to help members maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"We decided to open the gym because a lot of times people go into a gym and they don't know what to do...they have no idea where to even begin to start," Pure Gym Owner Benjamin Medrano mentioned.

From ellipticals, to treadmills, to gorilla imprinted dumbbells...this fitness gym has just enough equipment to help you burn a sweat in no time.

"We didn't want anything too big, we didn't want anything too small...we wanted something that was just gonna fit our client base," Medrano stated.

Not only was developing a decent sized gym important to Medrano, but creating a good relationship with clientele is also very important.

"Having a nice gym like this...ya know small and contained...we're actually able to have that one on one communication with our customers and give them that personalized attention," said Medrano.

In addition to the gym membership, tanning is available as well.

"We have just tanning packages as well if you didn't want to be part of the gym but you wanted the tanning benefit," Medrano excitedly mentioned.

The crowd gathered around on this bright, sunny day and watched Benjamin and Mindy Medrano cut the red ribbon as they began their exciting journey in Meridian Township.

"It's a great location...we have Meridian Mall that's booming, I want to say there's 18 new businesses that are popping up in Meridian Township and we want to be part of that growth," Medrano stated.
