MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Township Board recently voted to approve a rezoning request for the Stockwell Development Corporation. Stockwell requested the rezoning of two different parcels, totaling to about 9 acres of land. This land is located north of Grand River and west of Powell Road.

The request was to take these parcels and use them for commercial purposes. The Planning Commission suggested that Stockwell rezone the parcels from PO (professional offices) to C-2 (commercial), and both the applicant, and the Township Board were in agreement with that.

The Township Board passed this motion to approve the rezoning unanimously.
