HASLETT - Okemos volleyball has only lost one match during the conference playoffs and it was against Holt earlier in the playoff season. Going into Tuesday's match-up between the Holt Rams and Okemos Chieftians, Okemos was ready for a battle.

Okemos wins match one 25 to 12. With this score Okemos was feeling confident, but the Rams didn't make it easy in match two. Holt lead match two up until senior, Daria Richards, came to show out and was set up in different quick-set plays plus stellar defense by Brooke Bez Okemos wins match two. They take match two 25 to 20.

The Chieftains take match three with a little less issue and the Lady Chieftains take the CAAC Blue conference title and prepare for district playoffs this week.

"I am so proud of my girl's," said head coach Jamie Ianni, "the younger girls stepped up and the older girl's lead the way, this was a great team win."
