Plan for New Upscale Apartment Complex
Presented at Planning Commission Meeting

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - During the July 13th Planning Commission Meeting, representatives from T.A. Forsberg Inc. presented their plan for a new upscale apartment complex in Meridian Township.

The planned complex, which is estimated to cost $50 million, would be located off Jolly Road near the corner of Okemos Road. The area currently is occupied by an old industrial yard that coincidentally was owned by the grandfather of Brent Forsberg, President of T.A. Forsberg Inc.

While the plan is still in the preliminary stages, Forsberg is excited and looking forward to bringing a sense of community to the area.

"We're looking to build a community here at the corner of Okemos and Jolly Roads," said Forsberg. "Where people can interact and have that social aspect so we're excited to bring that here."

Forsberg also is looking to attract young professionals who are looking for a community to live in, but also has plans for multi-family residential units.

T.A. Forsberg Inc. will present their plan in front of the Meridian Township Board on August 4th and if approved could begin construction in the Fall, with the first units available for lease in 2016.
