MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Summer Playground Program is a recreational program for kids in the area from ages 6 to 12.

The program promotes physical activity and playing outside. The program takes place every Monday through Thursday until August 6th. Kids can come for some hours, or even all day. A free lunch is provided for anyone in the area under 18, you don't need to be apart of the program to receive this.

Luann Maisner, Director of Parks and Recreation in Meridian Township says what the club values itself on. "We provide activities, and sports, arts and crafts, nutrition, fitness, and focus on socialization."

All the kids there said what they love so much about it is the fact that they get to meet a new kid almost everyday and some even come back for all of the summer. Friendships are built and lessons are learned.
