Farmers’ Market Begins Summer Season

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Farmers' Market is now open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm. They will be following this schedule from July until October.

The market is located at the Central Park Pavilion.

The Farmers’ Market will feature Michigan strawberries, beans, tomatoes, peaches, and blueberries in June and apples, winter squash, and pumpkins in the fall. Fresh bouquets of flowers are available throughout the season. A majority of the products sold at the market are grown either locally or within the state.

The Market Manager, Christine Miller, wants residents to know that they "accept the Michigan bridge card, they have double up food bucks with project fresh and senior market fresh. We have a variety of produce today and more vendors coming in the near future."

A majority of the vendors at the market have been committed to the Meridian Township Farmers Market for over 30 years.

Special lunch parties will begin a the Wednesday Farmers' Market beginning on July 8th. Food trucks and musicians will be at the weekly lunch parties.
