Meridian Township Welcomes New Police
Officers

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township's Police Department has add two new officers to their staff.

Adam Stebbins and John Arpino are the Township's newest officers.

Both new officers attended the same Mid-Michigan Police Academy and are good friends.

Stebbins and Arpino have no prior police experience.

During the April 7th Township Board meeting Chief of Police David Hall explained the benefits of getting officers with no experience.

"If we hire police offices with experience we try to remold them, reshape them. well, they don't have experience and that's the good news! That we get to start from scratch and mold them as a piece of clay sort of speak," said Chief Hall.

Chief Hall also went on to say that the police department is excited about their new officers and so far they're doing a great job in their primary training.
