OKEMOS - Communications Department Places in Government Programming Awards Competition.

The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) recently
announced 2011 Government Programming Award winners. Meridian Township is one of three Michigan municipalities recognized for efforts in programming excellence this year. The Township's Communications
Department, including HOMTV and CAMTV, was acknowledged for excellence in the following categories:

Event/Program Promotion:
1st Place- "Meridian Fireworks"
3rd Place- "HOMTV Internship Experience"

Visual Arts:
2nd Place- "HOMTV Internship Experience"
3rd Place- "Communication"

Excellence in Public Access Programming:
3rd Place- CAMTV

Municipal Channel Promotion:
3rd Place- "PEG Value"

Public Safety:
3rd Place- "Beyond The Badge #101"

Documentary:
3rd Place- "Meridian Cares"

Government Access Station Web Site:
Honorable Mention- HOMTV

Election Coverage:
Honorable Mention- "Open Line Debate"
