• Okemos celebrates game-winning three- pointer by Conner George.

OKEMOS - Captain Conner George gave Okemos its first lead with the last shot of the game, giving the Chiefs a, 57-56, victory over DeWitt.

The Senior forward George scored 17 points in front of his home crowd, none more important than the buzzer-beating three-pointer, along with 10 rebounds.

Junior point guard Chaz Richardson had a strong fourth quarter, and finished the game with a team-leading 20 points.

"We've talked about adversity all year long, and when you lose a few in a row - we lost on a tip in with no time left - for one to go our way, it feels really nice," Okemos head coach Jeff Wonch said. "These guys earned it."

Okemos, 5-5, hosts Lansing Everett, 10-2, this Friday, January 30th at 6pm.
