MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Here is a review of the Michigan Primary Election outcomes:

In the State Representative 69th District Republican Primary Election, Frank L. Lambert defeated George Nastas III 2,163 votes to 1,175.

Sam Sing ran unopposed by in the State Representative 69th District Democratic Primary Election, and will be facing Lambert in November.

In the State Senator 23rd District Democratic Primary Election, Curtis Hertel Jr. defeated Larry J. Hutchinson and Harold J. Leeman Jr., gaining 11,072 votes, translating to 70% of the total votes.

In the Representative in Congress 8th District Republican Primary Election, Mike Bishop won over Tom McMillin 7,683 votes to 4,240.

In the Representative in Congress 8th District Democratic Primary Election, Eric Schertzing emerged victorious over his competition ( Ken Darga, Susan Grettenberger, and Jeffery Hank) by gaining 10,205 votes.

In the County Commissioner 12th District elections Deb Nolan defeated Amy M. Lothamer 1,276 to 596 in the Democratic Primary, and Jim Hershiser ran unopposed in the Republican Primary.

State Proposal 14-1 was passed with a vote of 20,454 to 11,377

The CATA Millage Renewal Proposition was passed with a vote of 18,966 to 6,357

The Meridian Township Park Millage Proposal was passed with a vote of 6,644 to 2,653

Finally, the Capital Area District Library Renewal was also passed with a vote of 22,019 to 6,456.
