Okemos Football Looks to Improve in
2014

OKEMOS - Okemos football is gearing up for the regular season one day at a time.

With a storied past, but bleak last few years, Okemos aims to return to glory.

"I think our leadership has been outstanding, our team chemistry outstanding," said Okemos Head Coach Jack Wallace. "They are a fun group to be around.I love our guys this fall. Just the way they have come in and set a tone for the regular season."

"Practices have been going great. They have been working hard. The coaching staff has been outstanding," Wallace continued.

The Okemos Chieftains look to improve on their 3-6 record from a season ago as they take on the Mason Bulldogs in their season opener August 29, 2014.

"Mason is always tough," said Wallace. "They are great competitors, but we are up for the task."

The week following its trip to Mason, Okemos plays their home opener against Grandville on September 5th at 7pm.
