Township Board Recognizes Members Involved In Library Renovation

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the most recent Township Board meeting, members involved in the renovation of the Okemos Library were recognized in front of the board members.

With roses in hand, Township Manager, Frank Walsh spoke on behalf of the township, showing gratitude toward the members for all of their dedication and success in getting the library renovation completed.

President of the Friends of The Okemos Library, Cecelia Kramer, spoke briefly about their journey in raising the money in order to start the renovation of the library. Kramer also said the members ended up raising more money than they thought they would.

The Okemos Library is now open to the public offering a quiet room for adults, a teen area, computer lounge, and many more. There is a plaque hanging on the wall in the library that has been dedicated to all of the sponsors that contributed to the renovation.
