Haslett Girls Volleyball

UPDATE: HASLETT - The Haslett Lady Vikings welcomed the St. John's Redwings for their third volleyball match of the season. Coming off a win in late August against Hillsdale, Haslett was ready to make it a winning streak. Out of the gates it appeared to have all the makings of a very close game,,and those assumptions turned out to be true. Some great serves helped power the Vikings past the Redwings 25 to 22 in game one,,and 25 to 18 in the second game. The Vikings were pushed to the brink in the decisive game three, but managed to hold off their opponents 26-24. Head volleyball coach Wendy McCann said the team goal for the game was finishing.

Coach WENDY McCANN

"Which, to us, means taking care of putting that pass-set down. And so I think that they had that in their minds when they were going after every play; we said it in timeouts: we need to finish, we need to finish."

The Haslett girls improve their record to two and one overall,,their next game is September 13th against C-A-A-C Red Division rival DeWitt.
