Local Family Opens Second Penn
Station Restaurant

OKEMOS - The second family owned Penn Station East Coast Subs location recently opened on July 1 at 4758 Marsh Road in Okemos.

Owner Cheryl Kellogg is getting ready to expand her stake in Penn Station even more along with her husband Mark, brother-in-law Christopher Kellogg and brother-in-law Jeff Kellogg. The family chose Lansing as the site of the first location, which opened in July 2012, and plans to open a total of eight locations, at a rate of two per year, over the next few years.

"We are all very driven and career-oriented, both beneficial qualities when you own and operate your own business,” Kellogg said. “This has been a great venture for our family and we are looking forward to opening many more Penn Station restaurants in the area for all families to enjoy.”

The national sandwich chain is well know for its delicious Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwiches that are made to order on fresh French bread. They serve a variety of different warm and cold sandwiches. They also offer their fresh, made to order hand-cut french fries. Penn Station is an upscale, fast-casual restaurant.
