MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Vikings beat Fowlerville to win a district title, and then knocked off linden high in the first game of the regional tournament.

Less than hour later, they faced grand rapids south christian for the regional championship.

After just a short grounds reset, Haslett was right back on the field, ready to play for the regional title.

Pitcher Bryce Dickman gave up an early hit, and after a stolen base later in the inning, Christian Southern took a one nothing lead.

But Haslett was not behind for long.

Here's a single off the bat of Haslett's Peter Romsek, but after the error at first, Romsek took second base.

Zach Berry took advantage of the runner in scoring postition, driving in Romsek.

Dickman put in a solid second inning and the Vikings entered the bottom of the frame al tied up.

Hunter Ruhstorfer lead it off with a single and then Haslett was able to start playing some small ball.

Luke Sleeper advanced Ruhstorfer to second on a bunt and Ruhstorfer gained third after a wild pitch. Then all the Vikings needed was Devin Nault to crank this RBI flyout to get rolling. Haslett would go on to beat the hosts by a final score of 8-1.

Jeff Woodworth said that he thinks his team has been taking advantage of their confidence.

"It started with Williamston with a come from behind, got some kids some confidence," said Woodworth. "You know when a young group plays with confidence, they can play. It started a little bit there and continued over, you know kinda got the ball roling and just kind of carried over into game 2.

"We did a lot of good things today. We all believe. We set some goals and we strive to attain those goals. I believe, our kids believe. You know I don't want to sound cocky or anything, but they think they're pretty good at the game, so some times we get humbled, but most of the time we're gonna show up and play."
