UPDATE: OKEMOS - Ingham County’s Board of Commissioners approved funds for the Douglas J project in Downtown Okemos.

The hair institute will receive up to $328,000 through the Ingham County Redevelopment Authority for costs associated with cleaning up contaminated soil.

Three buildings will be demolished to build the 25,000-square-foot salon and spa on the corner of Hamilton and Okemos Roads.

There is no set date for demolition.
