EAST LANSING - The Spartans played in the second half of a Sunday Breslin double header. The men narrowly defeating Louisiana Lafayette in the early game.

But, there was nothing narrow about this game, MSU jumped out to a lead from the tip, thanks in large part to the great play of Jasmine Thomas. She does it all right here with the board and taking it the length of the court to lay it in

Two of her game high 14 points. She's been one of the nice surprises in the Spartans' season thus far.

Now into the second half it's Thomas again, this time finding an open Annalise Pickrel spotting up from the wing who, gets the friendly bounce from the rim.

Thomas, in addition to those 14 points dished out eight assists, also a game high.

Here's Pickrel again, this time she doesn't need any help from the rim. Three more for her- she had eleven on the game.

Courtney Shiffauer also scored in double figures with ten, While jasmine Hines chipped in with nine.

State goes on to win easily,,68 to 35.

Now at 5-0, perhaps an accomplishment considering the injuries and suspensions much like what the MSU men are going through.

Coach Merchant has been pleased with her team's depth.
