UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - With warm weather brings ice cream and there are plenty of places to find it.

One of them is Cone Zone in Haslett. They opened on Memorial Day and are no stranger to large crowds.

"Well we'll have lines all the way to the road most nights," said Dominique Powers, Manager of Cone Zone.

And a new addition to East Lansing is Spad's Twisters. They opened on April 20th.

"We have the special, the $1.99 banana split which has brought in a lot of customers," said Assistant Manager Lindsey Hornfield.

To find some Chieftain spirit visit Okemos Dairy.

"Most of the people that work here now are seniors who just graduated. And we're hiring new juniors and sophomores from Okemos," said recent Okemos High School graduate and employee of Okemos Dairy Jonny Bolas.

As temperatures rise on these hot days, so do ice cream sales.
