PNC Bank Robbery

PNC Bank Robbery

UPDATE: OKEMOS - Last Wednesday the Meridian Township Police responded to a bank robbery around 1 p.m.

The PNC Bank at Okemos and Jolly Oak alerted police that a man wearing a brown hooded sweat shirt, a white button down shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a blue Detroit Tigers hat with a "D" on it.

Police say the suspect walked in the bank and demanded money. We do not know if the suspect was armed. The police believe that suspect may have left the scene on foot.

Police advise that with any robbery, you act cooperatively to minimize harm.

"We encourage people to relinquish the property, give the money up. Certainly with convenience stores and other places that we have more regular contact with for this sort of thing-- it's best just to give up the money, because nothing is worth getting certainly killed or shot over,” said Lt. Greg Frenger, with the Meridian Township Police.
