MDOT Invites Public on State Transportation Involvement Program for 2023-2026

LANSING, MI - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) recently invited the public to comment on a draft of their Public Participation Plan for their State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for 2023-2026.

The Participation Plan is a federally required part of releasing a STIP document, which will include road, bridge and transit projects that will require federal aid throughout the state. The MDOT invites all members to have their voices heard when discussing Michigan’s future.

There are a number of ways that the public can have their voices heard for the Participation Plan for the STIP. First is through an online comment form, which will be linked below.

The public is also invited to submit comments via email addressed to Monica Monsma, the Public Involvement and Hearings Officer for the MDOT at MonsmaM@michigan.gov, as well as through social media, on the MDOT Facebook and Twitter accounts, or on the phone at 517.241.3675 with Mark Kloha.

A link to the Plan for the STIP in its entirety can also be found in the link below. Public review and comment will remain open until August 23rd.
