Michigan Mason's Bikes for Books Program

OKEMOS, MICHIGAN - Michigan Masons at the Okemos Lodge make an impact on elementary and middle school students each year. The Bikes for Books Program, a reading incentive program between masonic lodges, local schools, and communities, is hosted by the Masons in Okemos. Students who successfully achieve reading goals have the opportunity to be awarded a bike and a helmet.

“The 2019-2020 school year marked the completion of the Okemos Masonic Lodge Bikes for Books fifth year,” said mason Mike Nevells. “Over these five years, in total, we have received 799 entries, which is 5,593 books read.”

The 2020-2021 Okemos Masonic Lodge Bikes for Books entry forms are available at all the participating schools. Requests for an entry form can also be made via email to mike.nevells@gosolutions.net
