MSU Pavilion Offering Vaccinations With No Appointment Today and Tomorrow

LANSING - According to a press release today, no appointment is needed today and tomorrow at the Michigan State University (MSU) Pavilion to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The press release said people who live or work in Ingham County are encouraged to drive up, today and tomorrow, to MSU Pavilion and stay in their cars to get vaccinated.

The Ingham County Health Department (ICHD), in partnership with MSU, is offering the two-dose Pfizer vaccine at the Pavilion. Anyone age 16 and older is eligible for the vaccine, with no out-of-pocket cost.

“About half of the eligible population in Ingham County has been vaccinated,” said Ingham County Health Officer Linda S. Vail. “We are now trying to reach segments of the population who have barriers or hesitations around the vaccine. Convenience is a factor for some people, and we are trying to make it easier to get vaccinated.”

The press release said earlier this week, ICHD opened up its schedule to all Michigan residents. Anyone who lives in Michigan can visit the health department’s scheduling calendar to make an appointment. Pre-registration is no longer needed.

To schedule an appointment, visit http://hd.ingham.org/coronavirus/r_1013.aspx. Appointments are still encouraged as the wait time for those with no appointment could vary.
