COVID-19 Hotline Established in Meridian Township

COVID-19 Hotline Established in Meridian Township

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - This morning Meridian Township officials announced that they have established a COVID-19 Hotline for residents in the community who may need special assistance or in need of service for a non-emergency issue.

The Hotline is available every day from 8:00am to 11:00pm and can be reached at 517.853.4040. The Hotline will be monitored by Township Manager Frank L. Walsh, Deputy Township Manager Derek N. Perry, Police Chief Ken Plaga, and Fire Chief Mike Hamel. Since the Township Offices are closed, reaching Township Departments may prove difficult. This Hotline will enable the Township Management Team to administer the appropriate resources for any needs residents may have.

Township Manger Frank L. Walsh had this to say, “Please know you are not alone. Perhaps you know a resident who can’t make it to the grocery store and doesn’t have the ability to order online. We are going to make every attempt to meet your needs."

Residents are reminded that they should still call 9-1-1 for emergencies. If someone requires routine needs, they should call the Meridian Township COVID-19 Hotline at 517.853.4040.
