OKEMOS, MI - OKEMOS - A new hotel Courtyard by Marriott, located at 3454 Meridian Crossing Dr held it's Grand Opening and opened its doors to the public On Thursday December 5th.

The event began at 5:30 pm and there were food, drinks, and musical entertainment and the Ribbon Cutting take place at 6:30pm with the staff, and everyone in attendance could enter a raffle drawing to win a variety of prizes, such as a free night at the hotel, along with a gift card for Stillwater Grill, and a gift basket from Mary Kay Gift or Dusty's Cellar Wine.

The General Manager of the Marriott Hotel. Mike Kent said "We have been looking forward to this for a very long time and watched the hotel being built. It was very exciting to see the process of it coming along. The construction team was amazing. Shout out to Oliver Hatcher Construction, they did a phenomenal job. HDS Construction, they know what their doing. They've made numerous hotels and made the process very smooth for the operations team which was us and, get our jobs done and ready for opening.

Monica Arcaute, the Director of Sales also told HOMTV what makes their hotel stand out from the other ones in the area and she said "We have a bar and restaurant in our lobby, so that alone sets us apart. "People know what they get when they stay at a Courtyard. They know there standards. Every Courtyard is the same so they that they will get that consistency throughout. They know when they come here their going to get the same thing they stayed at the last place, and I think that comforts them."

Kent added that "Were really geared for the traveler, that is kind of the new generation where their looking for work spaces, they want mobile everything. Between wireless, mobile check-in, mobile key, these are all features that were trying to keep up and actually set the bar for the X, Y, Z generation. Meridian Township is a great community and were very happy to be here."
