Digital Safety Classes In Meridian Township

Digital Safety Classes In Meridian Township

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - In the past year, an estimated 37 billion dollars was taken from senior citizens due to fraud.

This is why it is so crucial to be able to identify the warning signs of a scam.

Meridian Township residents can learn all about digital safety at the Consumers Education Series presented by Christine Coady of the Michigan Attorney General's Office with Meridian Township Treasurer Phil Deschaine.

These are free classes that are hosted at the Meridian Senior Center.

Coady said, "This is one of our best ways to try to educate consumers on how they can help themselves."

There are two more sessions left in the series so mark your calendars for October 8th and November 19th.

Deschaine said, "If you're a teenager, a senior citizen or anything in between, I promise you, you'll leave with some good information."
