Man Who Supposedly Went Into the Red Cedar River Was Found

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On March 15, Meridian Township Police Department arrived at Dobie Road after a witness reported a man going into Red Cedar River. The witness said the man was aged between late teens to early twenties holding a backpack and wearing dark clothes.

While searching for the man, the police department found a man who matched the description. It turns out, the witness misinterpreted the situation. The man said he sat down on a bridge near the river which most likely led the witness to believe he went into the river.

While the investigation is ongoing, there are no suspects. If you have any information, call the Meridian Township Police Department at 517.853.4800. You can also submit an anonymous tip to the police department's social media accounts.
