OKEMOS - Orthopaedic Rehab Specialist has opened up a new location in Okemos. The business first opened its doors in January, but had it's open house Wednesday evening.

Members of the community had the change to see what the location looked like inside and enjoy food and prize giveaways at the open house. A quick speech was also given by Meridian Township Treasurer Phil Deschaine along with other members of the township who came to wish the business well.

Mark Stiles, director of marketing for Orthopaedic Rehab Specialist, explained what he thought about having this new location in Meridian Township.

"It's a thriving area for sure, and you know it's parents and kids that are all athletic or they run on weekends or they run at night and they're active," Stiles said. "And so for us, it's a great place to have a clinic like this because of the potential for injuries or re-having injuries is always there when you have an active community. So for us, it's the perfect location to kind of have the headquarters of this area. We can reach out to Bath and Perry, we also have some Williamston customers, and obviously our Lansing and even as far as the west side can come here."

This location also offers massage therapy in addition to physical therapy services.

Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists is located at 5100 Marsh Road and is open from 8 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
