MSU Safe Place to Host 24th Annual

EAST LANSING - Come this Sunday April 15, MSU Safe Place will be having their 24th annual Race for the Place.

The Race for the Place is the largest annual fundraiser for MSU Safe Place who provide services to members of the MSU and Greater Lansing communities who experience relationship violence and stalking.

The event is a 5K run and a walk with events for the kids as well; a one mile fun run and a hundred yard dash.

"It's a fun day, it's a nice time to spend on campus, so we really hope a lot of people come out," said Alyssa Baumann, Volunteer and Advocacy Coordinator for MSU Safe Place.

The Race for the Place will take place on Michigan State's campus and will start and end at Jenison Field house.

Online registration for the event ends April 12 but people can come on race day and register as well.
