MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Last night at the March 20th Township Board Meeting, Brett Kachinski of M Parks (Michigan Recreation and Park Association) presented Luann Maisner with the Commitment to Excellence Award.

Maisner currently serves the Meridian Township Community as the Director of Parks and Recreation.

“This award is given each year to an individual that has demonstrated excellence and commitment to our profession, and state association. Luann has a true passion for our profession and it shows everyday,” said Kachinski.

She began her career in Meridian Township almost 18 and-a-half-years ago. She received the award this past February at the annual Michigan Recreation and Park association conference.

“This is an award that you don't just win alone, and throughout my career I've been very fortunate to be surrounded by supportive co workers and staff,” said Maisner.
