Township Manager Responds to Comments in Judge Aquilina's Courtroom

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Township Manager Frank Walsh has made a statement regarding the comments made in Judge Aquilina's courtroom during Brianne Randall-Gay's victim impact statement during the Larry Nassar sentencing hearing on January 23rd.

"Meridian Township did pay for Brianne to attend the hearing. We wanted Brianne to be able to share her story with the other survivors in front of Nassar and share her pain."

When asked for more information, Walsh said no comment.

Other media outlets have reported that Assistant Police Chief Ken Plaga said that Randall-Gay's report was never forwarded to the Ingham County prosecutor and Michigan State University was never notified back in 2004.
