Meridian Township Celebrates "International Day of Yoga"

Meridian Township Celebrates

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - In celebration of both Meridian's 175th anniversary as well as International Day of Yoga, Meridian Township held two free yoga sessions for attendees this past Wednesday.

Meridian residents joined together on June 21st, in honor of the special occasions, at the Meridian Township Historical Village where participated in free 45-minute class sessions that were taught by yoga instructors Tracy Darnell and Candace Merkel.

The event was sponsored by LotusVoice Integrative Therapy LLC and The Willows of Okemos. During the event, free massages were also offered.

LotusVoice owner, Ginger Yang, stated she enjoyed throwing events for the community, such as these.

"I am a resident of the Meridian Township and I would love do as much as I can to promote this community and make this community a better place, a better place, to live," stated Yang.

Nearly 50 residents participated in the event.
