One of the grant applications would be for a project would be for a project constructing an outdoor restroom facility at the Harris Nature Center.

"That would serve users of the Meridian Riverfront trail. It would also serve users of the Harris Nature Center either during program times or even when the building isn't open and just people who are there using the park facility", said LuAnn Maisner, the Parks and Recreation Director for Meridian Township.

This project is estimated to cost around 100,000 dollars.

However, some amenities won't be included in phase one of the project including, pickleball courts, the overflow parking area, and the playgrounds.
